Dr. Farr articulates his architectural doctrine as follows:
“Every endeavor of our time must be aware of nature and environment; of context and community; of people and equity; of information and technology; and of machines and virtuality. These are the pillars. We stand at the edge of a historical moment -an awakening to our responsibilities as one species among many. Architecture is no exception to this métier.”
DR. POORANG PIROOZFAR (Patrick)
Chairman and Co-Founder
Distinguished British Designer and Researcher
Dr Patrick Piroozfar Chairman and Co-Founder of NONAMES, is architectural technology programme leader, director of Advanced Technologies in the Built Environment, Architecture and CONstruction (@BEACON) and the Built Environment Research Group (BERG) as well as the head of Digital Construction Lab at School of Environment and Technology (SET), University of Brighton, UK. His teaching overarches creative architectural design and the methods, as well as cutting-edge technologies and applications, and is reinforced by his research aiming to catechize inter-/intra-connexions, and to pursue a didactic model of design research through deductive approch to theory. He is the founding principal of MAVERiC a design research group focusing on Mixed, Augmented
and Virtual Reality in the AEC industry.
Amm Zamni, board member and assistant director at NONAMES holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Architecture . He completed his Master with a Diploma in architectural design and design research in 2003. Since then he has been working for various companies in different capacities as a licensed architect. He has been a respected and credible designer and researcher, and his services to built environment and people have been very much appreciated. Despite his professional and managerial duties and responsibilities, he would have never forgotten his high hopes for architecture.
Currently he also educates next generation of thinkers, and works on his research focus on history of architectural theory.
EMMANUEL ROUMEKIOTIS (Mike)
Assistant Director
Senior Design Researcher
(Mar 2016-Ongoing)
Born in 1992 on Long Island, New York, Mike, a senior design research contributor at NONAMES, believes that architecture should always be seen as the transcendence of space as a manifesto to socio-cultural and political accounts of design. His perspective on the architecture profession is that we are obligated to cater for the future of architects and architecture for the sake of discourse.
Architecture should facilitate the users’ basic functions, requirements and high-hopes while sustaining a high level of spatial quality within the object and related to it. This makes architecture simultaneously introverted and extroverted, and a more comprehendible phenomenon.
